Related to the previous post, here I tell you why do I need another breastpump while I already got my lovely Medela Harmony.
I’m sure all of you were aware of my latest breastfeeding condition. My supply is on the recession mode, which means I don’t produce the same ammount as before. It is dramatically declining.
Therefore, to boost my production rate, I do anything I could do, including to pump at home and at weekends, which I never done before since I got back working. I usually only pump when I’m working and only in weekdays. Never on weekends or holidays. But now, I have to increase my pumping frequency to remind the production cells inside my breasts to produce more breastmilk.
So, I got to bring my Harmony breastpump to the office and home back and forth. Yeah, I brought it at home before also, never leave it at the office, but only for sterilizing purpose. However, now, when I pump both at the office and at home, I suddenly became reckless. Twice, I left the pump at the office so I cannot use it at home and I have to borrow my SIL’s. Once, I left one of the parts (the yellow small one with rubber membrane in it) at the sterilizer and definetely cannot pump at the office (actually I tried to borrow my friend’s but she’s still using it).
There….begun my search for another Medela breastpump, so I can left one at home, and another at the office.
Once I have post here somewhere that an electric breastpump (the Medela Swing type) is one of my wishlists when I gave birth to baby Rai. But then I already satisfied with the Harmony one. So, I decided to find other type, and my preference went to the electric ones (either the Mini Electric, Electric Plus, or Swing one). And after doing some research by phone and browsing, through the internet, I found out that the price for breastpumps already increased much much higher than when my sister, Dian, purchased my Harmony for me.
Therefore, since it is not a primary need and I’m on the wallet-diet mode (yeah…yeah…I know you don’t believe me), I decide to seek a second hand or preloved ones instead of buying it brand new. As long as it is in a good condition, I don’t mind purchase the used one. If then I didn’t trust the higiency (is it the correct spelling?), I can always purchase the brand new breastshield and membrane, right? There goes my previous post.
Surprisingly, just around an hour after I publish that post, Justin emailed me, said that she’d like to sell her used Mini Electric breastpump (she already bought a new Swing type and never used the Mini Electric one anymore). And she offered me with a very reasonable price also.
Of course I immediately took her offer. And, this afternoon, after abang took the pump at Justin’s office (which famous with it’s ‘satpam galak‘), I tried it at one of the room in abang’s office.
The verdict? ME LIKEY VERY MUUUUCCCCHHHHH!!!!
At first I was a bit shocked by its sound. Hell, it’s very very loud, reminds me of the sound of ‘sapi gila yang diperes mulu susunya tapi ga dikawinin‘!!! I guess the peeps in abang’s office maybe thought of me doing something indicent in that room when they hear the mad cow sound…hahahaha.
But other than it’s noisy sound, I like it’s performance! Although I got the LDR (Let Down Reflex) faster with my Harmony pump, but the Mini Electric does it better and faster in emptying my breasts (after got the LDR of course).
So? Me happy…me happy…me very happy!
Happier than when I received a package contained a Ciciero tussy fuschia, and even happier than when I saw my baby blackie AvG which (finally) arrived at abang’s office’s garage (but up until now I still cannot drive it home ’cause the stup*d marketing guy J*n* Al*x*ndr* from Auto 2000 Sukarno Hatta Bandung still has not show hiss *ss up here to bring my licence plate and STNK! Grrrrrrhhhhhh! Remind me to choke him to death if he finally has the nerve to show up!) .
Yeah….that goes my other effort of returning my breastmilk production back to the normal ‘rate’. I hope I made a good investment on this Medela Mini Electric.
